[locustream] Reveil live radio broadcast of daybreak sounds - call for streams

Hello all The 4th iteration of Reveil will take place over the International Dawn Chorus Day weekend of 6 to 7 May. Reveil is a 24 hour broadcast of live sounds of daybreak relayed by streamers using laptops, phones and Raspberry Pi's, the majority of them here on the Locus Sonus network. Reveil is mixed at Stave Hill Ecological Park in London, broadcast in full on Wave Farm in Upper Hudson, NY, Resonance Extra in London, UK and in whole or in part by participating FM and netradio stations around the world. Reveil will begin at 5AM London time (UTC+1) on Saturday 6 May, and travel West from microphone to microphone just ahead of sunrise in a global loop lasting one earth day. It will end back in London at 6AM on Sunday morning. As in previous years, we invite you to open long term or transient streams at daybreak form your location - which could be anywhere - although, for this event, there is a particular interest in places where humans and non humans meet. You might consider setting up a mobile stream outdoors using the free Locuscast app for iOS. Each stream adds to the detail and diversity of the mix. Hello Alan, To answer your question of experiencing your difficulties streaming with a Rpi, one problem i experienced using one is the fact that if you modify parameters on your Rpi, like the streambox name or network parameters, you should reboot it to actualise your stream parameters and appearing on the map. I couldn’t access to you rip with an url, so i can’t help you debugging online. Best, François Parra.

Hi grant, I’ve been trying to stream for a while, but I can’t seem to get on the map. I’ve had things working on my phone, but not with the pi. Any ideas? Hi all In case you didn't notice, humpback whales have arrived back in Hawaii. They can be heard singing on the map The Locus Sonus development team have released a new version of the streambox. Version 3.1 is great: stable, with an intuitive web interface, remote access, and support for the Cirrus Logic soundcard. Two versions support either the Pi Version 1 B+ (ARM6) or the newer Pi 2 and 3 (ARM7). Both are recommended. The Reveil 24 hour broadcast of live daybreak sounds will happen over the weekend of 6-7 May this year. More on that and the soundcamp events over the same weekend, from the link below.
