just listening to this now - sounding very good - some low key recorded music playing and voices, a dog - it s around 10.30 night here in London - around 4.30 afternoon in Colombia - I don't usually open the 'read more..' so hadn't noticed there's a local time clock there - which is nice thx grant

[locustream] Streams this weekend

Hi all, I just wanted to drop the mailing list a message, to ask if the streams that are up at the moment could be kept as stable and trouble free as possible (!) this coming weekend - Friday the 26th September till Monday the 29th September. I am displaying an installation at the Network Music Festival in Birmingham (http://networkmusicfestival.org/nmf2014/programme/installations/) called Synchrocities_2014, and it would be great if the streams remained accessible for that time. At the moment, I am using the following streams: Cologne, Berlin, St Baume, and London…. Thankyou so much to all for the dedication to the streams... Robin

[locustream] test stream from Belle Harbor Queens, New York

Hello everyone: I have a stream up from outside my second story window in Belle Harbor Queens, NY, technically part of New York City, but about the quietest place you can be while still in the city itself. I'm not sure if I'll keep the stream up in it's current physical location. Equipment used: Behringer UMC204 audio interface with two Behringer XM8500 microphones hanging outside the window (I hope to mount these mics better at some point,) with a DBX Project One compressor on the UMC204's inserts. All this is streaming from an old Lenovo R61 laptop. Here is the URL: http://borris.me:8888/outside2.m3u As a side note, I will try to get my Greensboro, NC stream back online when I am t here this weekend. It's been down for the last month and a half or so.

[locustream] my stream is down indefinitely

Hi all: My stream from North Carolina, which has been running for almost 5 years, is down for an unknown period of time. I just moved to New York City a few weeks ago, and left my equipment at home in North Carolina. Something died there a few days ago, and I'm not sure when I'll be back to fix it. Either late September or late December. I hope to set up a stream from the outside of my Belle Harbor apartment soon.
