Dear list A new accounts server has been installed at Locus Sonus. This addresses unreliable performance of the existing server in some cases. Many thanks to those here who have helped with testing. The new server seems to be working well and the dns will shortly be transferred to it. For most of us, the change will be quick and not very noticeable. In princlple it can take up to 24 hours for the new dns route to propagate through the internet, but in practice it will likely be much shorter. However, from 16:00 CEST some operations, such as changes to streambox configurations on the Locus Sonus admin page will be inaccessible. We will send an update when the process is complete. dear streamers, if you're planning to upgrade your raspberry pi to latest Raspi OS (Debian 12 / bookworm), be aware that it may completely break your sound system. Just have spent hours to debug two Debian 12 based installs from https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/, one was working, the other not. Difference between both was the kernel version, the working one is < 6.6, the broken one above that version. Unfortunately that comes with a simple system update/upgrade. Reveil 2024 – workshop, page, announcing..

As many of us know, this is a live collective transmission project that follows live streams around the earth around sunrise, creating a sonic loop over one day. Reveil over 4 to 5 May 2024 AND Server testing - call for help

Dear all on the list Ahead of the Reveil daybreak broadcast over the first weekend of May, a new accounts server is being set up for the Locus Sonus streams. It would be great to have help to test the server from different locations. This involves some basic work with the command line and a quick feedback. If you 'd be prepared to help, we would be grateful. Please reply here and we will send details. Meanwhile..
