Sabrina needs 4 stream players for her Streamed Encounters project. Who wants to play with? Björn from Solleftea Sweden is already subscribed to this on-line performance.

Here is the description of the project:

Locus Sonus will be presenting "The Locus Sonus Roadshow" at the GMEM (Groupe de Musique Experimentale de Marseille) next week. Locustream Tuner and the Locustream Promenade will be running throughout the presentation from the morning of September 24 to the evening of Saturday 29 . As usual we would be grateful for as much online presence as you can muster. More information is available on our website locusonus.org.

At the same time, we would like to invite you to take part in a live performance organized by one of the members of the Locus Sonus Team, Sabrina Issa.

INVITATION TO TAKE PART IN LIVE PERFORMANCE

The performance Streamed Encounters is programmed for september 27th and 28th and will last for approximately 40 minutes during which time the (4) remote performers will be offered the opportunity to meet and improvise together. The fruits of this encounter will be played for a local audience at the GMEM in Marseille, through a multi loudspeaker sound system.

Technically, participants will be provided with a control interface allowing them to displace their audio stream according to XY coordinates. A visual monitor of the different participants "movements" will be made available via the web and each performer will have a audio monitor stream which will transmit sound according to his/her position. An algorithmic rule system of attraction and repulsion will also influence the spatialization of sound during part of the performance.

Streamed Encounters - The idea of this performance, aside from experimenting with sound and space, is that it will also provide an opportunity for some members of the Locus streaming community (so to speak) to meet, discuss, share sounds and share ideas about this and other projects. We would also like you (if possible ) to keep your usual stream open so that it can be spatialized at the same time as your voice or other chosen sounds.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are willing to take part in this project as we intend to organize tests september 25th and 26th.
