We would like to bring several bits of information to your attention:
- The third edition of SoundCamp Reveil, the 24 hour dawn chorus event will be taking place over April 30 and May 1st and we call on all who can make it to set up a stream for the event or even better take this oppourtunity to set up a permanent stream. http://soundtent.org/soundcamp_reveil.html

Aside from various bug fixes, this version can be accessed remotely over the internet and will work with the Wolfson and Cirrus sound cards (specially built for the Pi). - We will be providing a helpline on Thursday April 28th to get anyone who is experiencing difficulties setting up a stream either with Locuscast (iOS, Android) or with the locus stream box or with the stream map account. Please send us an email with a skype contact or telephone number and we will contact you.

I am a total beginner at this but tried a mobile streaming broadcast the other day as ‘north_norfolk’ and may partner managed to hear it online (accidental nightingale broadcast). I intend to try again once the weather improves – eg Sat night Sun morning for the Dawn Chorus.
I have a question though – several people said they could open other mic’s (various) but not mine. One of them had an issue in that whatever software he was using kept trying to download the stream and did not play it. After I stopped he could open the recording (!)
Is there advice somewhere about these issues – eg what I should tell people to use to try and listen ?

However, something seems to be peculiar with the audio feeds. So far, everything I've heard is in mono, rather than stereo.In addition to this, there are differences between the Wavefarm feed and the ResonanceFm feed. The former has mono audio in both channels, whereas the latter has the audio (now) in only the left channel.I have verified this via both a Mac and a PC in my studio. I just thought that, from a production point of view, you might want some feedback on what we are hearing out here.The listening experience would certainly be enhanced if we could here all of the streams in stereo.

I am very much enjoying listening to this year's Reveil webcast. The variety of sounds around the world is quite lovely!
However, something seems to be peculiar with the audio feeds.
So far, everything I've heard is in mono, rather than stereo. In addition to this, there are differences between the Wavefarm feed and the ResonanceFm feed.
The former has mono audio in both channels, whereas the latter has the audio (now) in only the left channel. I have verified this via both a Mac and a PC in my studio.
I just thought that, from a production point of view, you might want some feedback on what we are hearing out here. The listening experience would certainly be enhanced if we could here all of the streams in stereo.

Hello and good morning!
I am very much enjoying listening to this year's Reveil webcast. The variety of sounds around the world is quite lovely!
However, something seems to be peculiar with the audio feeds.
So far, everything I've heard is in mono, rather than stereo. In addition to this, there are differences between the Wavefarm feed and the ResonanceFm feed.
The former has mono audio in both channels, whereas the latter has the audio (now) in only the left channel. I have verified this via both a Mac and a PC in my studio.
I just thought that, from a production point of view, you might want some feedback on what we are hearing out here. The listening experience would certainly be enhanced if we could here all of the streams in stereo.
