With apologies for cross postings.
Next week from Saturday 05:00 UTC+1 to Sunday at 06:00 UTC+1, the 8th edition of the Reveil https://soundtent.org/soundcamp_reveil.html broadcast will make its way around the world on live audio streams, following the sunrise west.
Reveil is composed from live streams provided by members of this list. Each one adds to the detail and variety of the loop.
In case you have not had a chance, or would like to open an existing or new microphone in time for this project, we would welcome it for the broadcast!
We will of course check the Locus Sonus server, where we expect many new streams to be appearing in the next days, and hopefully remaining longer. In addition, to be in synch on timing, and to be added to the Reveil timeline appearing shortly at soundtent.org/reveil http://soundtent.org/reveil/, there is the option to set up a profile page for your stream. This give listeners extra context and will be archived. That can be done from here http://streams.soundtent.org/manage/streams
The broadcast goes out on some twenty FM and net radio stations, and is accompanied by a programme of projects from the Acoustic Commons network, available on the platform http://soundtent.org/reveil/.

Hi Grant --
Just got my new stream up on Reveil, wasn't planning to, but made a push last night. Not sure what will happen, as I am scheduled for major surgery on Friday next in Denver, 400 km away, so won't be home to make sure the stream stays up and running, but hope it will!

Hi John,
I hope everything goes well for your surgery, and that you will be up and running at 100% capacity again.
The Reveil is an inspiration for many of us, which I shared news of during the WFAE AGM in BEAST FEaST, Friday. In the World Listening Project and its coordinating committee, also look to Reveil as a model for exploring this year's World Listening Day theme, The Unquiet Earth on July 18th.
With all this among other commitments, I've not been able to reestablish a suitable site and livestream for this year's event. I look forward to listening next weekend.
