I also have a stream at my apartment in Belle Harbor, NY, facing the street from a second story window. This is about the quietest place you can find that is still technically a part of New York City. http://borris.me/outside2.m3u

Both are using a pair of Behringer XM8500 dynamic microphones. The Greensboro stream uses a Yamaha MG102C board into a Behringer UCA-222 audio interface with an old Phonic PCL3200 compressor. The Belle Harbor stream uses a Behringer UMC204 audio interface with it's on-board preamps, and a DBX Project One compressor on the channel inserts.
