also, i remember some people have used contact mics, piezos on windows to bring in the sound from the outside and pick up less from the inside.. in case you like to keep it private that could be an option. let us know if you want to troubleshoot it, i can help you make a sound check from switzerland. /a

yesterday we set up a new mic in a attic next to the location of a beehive at the school of arts of Bourges, on an old mac G4. http://locus.creacast.com:9001/bourges_ensa.ogg

The sound is not the best, we must change the microphone (because of some permanent hum and parasites). This microphone is certainly tired and we hope to find a new one next week. The difficulty is the balance between the sound level thru the external soundcard and on the Pd patch. We don't use the EQ and we put the signal on "dry". We'll try to use the stereo feature.

Along the day you can listen to the flight of bees entering and leaving the hive, and the sound of the surrounding urban environment.

Thanks Alejo!! Great about the update/fixing/configurings! Though I leave already tomorrow night - so the new streambox wont be up until monday after weekend. Looking forward though. I am thinking of setting up some more microphones, though a mixer. Is it possible to feed the mike input with a line signal from a mixer - or will it be a mismatching too big?... If that´s the case I could use a DI-box before to go in to the streambox. ´

Has someone tested to send some line signal?
