Long time no see!
The locus mike is an electret + a capacitor and uses power (1.5v if I remember correctly) from the streambox audio in - it doesn't work with all sound cards. So I guess you have two possibilitys: either use the streambox built in sound card with the mic we provided or use your usb interface and appropriate mic. (if you need to put the locus mic outside you can plug in using a mini jack extension lead or add wire - if you can be bothered to do the soldering). Looking forward to hearing Amsterdam again.

simply because the - admittedly ancient - interface didn't show up in the audio input pref settings. i didn't expect having to specify a path in pd guessed that is taken care on the OS level. and thanks i didnt intend to open, alejo. it was simply a question of how the electred is powered for adjusting my own solution to the new box without the macally (which did the phantompowering) anyway its all good for now. we'll see how long your neat little mic braves the humidity outside

hi tim, sounds more like the computer has in itself problems getting a stable internet connection, im not sure what patch or stream client you are using under os x, perhaps someone else can share some hints on how it goes on the mac front?
