I finally have my router working and the streambox connected.
Since my keyboard will only type a question mark character "?" when I type the underscore character "_" I had to go in and change my settings on my admin page to remove the underscore characters and also to allow me type shorter names into the Pd patch.
In the Pd settings, stream-name is "westside" (it was was "421ndrake"), your-name is "ericl", and location is "chicago"
I pressed the bang button to apply values and connect.
In my admin settings, city is "chicago", location name is "westside" (it was was "421ndrake"), and your name is "ericl". You can see it on the map if you zoom in to Chicago, north of Garfield Park.
Now, how do we get the Icecast server to recognize "chicago_westside.ogg" instead of "421ndrake.ogg"?
BTW, in the admin page the "Pd patch" link was 404: "The requested URL /soundmap/lhoosl.html was not found on this server."

quick reply.
if you have an undescore somewhere on the screen, you can also do copy paste of it.. to solve the problem with your keyboard.
also, in the pd patch you have some shortcuts that should change the lang localization of your keyboard.. you have ES for spanish, DE for german, EN for english FR for french...
hope one of those helps

I tried US for the language keybd map but it had no effect.
I simply rewrote the names in my admin and the streambox patch so there would be no need for underscores.
One thing that confuses me is the lack of place to enter a stream name in the admin side. Since the streambox stream name was changed to "westside" I noticed that the "Your_Stream" stayed as "http://locus.creacast.com:9001/421drake.org"
So I changed I changed my stream name in the patch back to "421ndrake" clicked on the bang to apply, and went back into the admin and changed my location name to be the same: ""421ndrake".
The question, is "stream name" in the streambox Pd patch the same as "location name" in the soundmap admin page?

you must type on the PD patch the exact streamname done by your admin account (you can read it on the top of your admin page). In your case, it's : chicago_westside.ogg The streamname is generated automatically by our system, it's consisted of : city_locationname.ogg, according to the informations you type in the online registration. All our other systems (SoundMap, Tardis, Promenade, etc.) are based on this process. So if you want to change the name of your stream and continue to be automatically recognized by the SoundMap, etc., you must modify the city and location-name fields on your account, and all will work. Secondly, if you want to move your stream to another location, you can do it easily also.
The infos and the guidelines on the account page are not corrected, I'll do the corrections today, and put clearer explanations. Sorry ..
BTW, in the admin page the "Pd patch" link was 404: "The requested URL /soundmap/lhoosl.html was not found on this server."
oups, you're right, it is an old thing. I'll correct the link.
The question, is "stream name" in the streambox Pd patch the same as "location name" in the soundmap admin page?
jerome could tell us, but i dont think that will be the case.
no, As I mentioned above, the streamname in your patch is the combination of these variables : city_locationname followed by .ogg I know it's a little bit tricky, I will have to clear the presentation of this stuff on the admin page.

Okay, that's what I thought. I typed "chicago_westside" into the Pd patch, where it asks for a stream name. However, the stream name didn't show up in the other message box for the stream URL.

That's good thank you, Jerome.
I'm going to sleep for a few hours and if I can find the time tomorrow (later today) I'll try getting the Pd patch to stream to the proper URL.
