Ah good - it's great to try this in different ways / places.

The stream at 44100 KHz with a quality setting of 0.6 in the Locus Sonus interface uses around 1GB in 24 hours.
So you don't really need unlimited data but you need more than 30GB per month.
We really need a sponsor!

Failing that, some people use Sim cards intended for mobile phones, sometimes with amazing deals. But some ISPs block this practice. I'd be interested to know experiences with that.

I also think, but I'm not sure, that the so-called 'stay alive' [ping] function built into eg a Teltonika router or gateway, makes them more reliable over the long term than a standard dongle or mobile WiFi device.
