i noticed my stream suddenly couldn't connect as well. i had to restart pd, but that was all i needed to get it going again. i've had only one incident so far, so i don't know if it is a persistent problem. however, i'm running the patch under the edgy eft release of kubuntu. haven't tried it from my mac.

Peter suggested setting the computer to just reboot every n hours. a
solution, but not a fix.
