The automation of the subscription has been replaced a year ago by an invitation, even if the actual account creation page still mentions: "You will be automatically subscribed to the Locustream mailing list". Note that in the past, this was part of the participation to this project and clearly mentioned.

Anyway, I agree with all, nobody want be spammed.

As one of the admin, I receive every day some notifications of unsubscription from people how have use the procedure described below (meaning it works!), and proceed manually for others. But there is something important: you must use the email registered in the mailing list database. Except for redirections, the email from which you receive this message. If not, all unsubscription will failed for that reason.

To attempts to satisfy everybody without erasing the complete list and start again from scratch, I invite all peoples how want to be unsubscribed to this list to try again, or if they encounter any issues to send me directly an email at locusonus@ubaa.net

so I'd suggest that the admin / maintainer of this list should clean up the list of subscribers
in order to get it back in good shape again.
