Hi yep we're on it. The same problem occurred this last Summer. Stephane will post a message when a solution is found.

I agree: the map is still ok once it .. very slowly.. loads. I think we will need to rely on Jerome et al at locus sonus to find a workaround on the map overlays. I assume those overlays could simply be disabled in the meantime, which would stop the delay.
Of course you can also still hear your stream via VLC - so it's good to go ahead with setting up and hope the map meets you halfway.
In fact there is a nice mix of streams at the moment, it seems to me, from the from the voices resonating in buildings at SARC out to the open mountain at St Baume - you can sense what it could be like if we had some more! - so it's great you are working on getting 2 up and running

Thanks, Grant. I was wondering who, if anyone operates those servers.
Of course, when I try loading the daylightmap.com link to find that out, it doesn't load. As Udo found, "The server at daylightmap.com is taking too long to respond." While I find that it diminishes the impressiveness of the streaming audio map, my to- do list is too long to work on it...still need to focus on getting my own box located and running somewhere, in addition to SAIC's, which in the latter case, won't work because of the way the school's firewalls are setup.
All the best, Eric

yes, it looks like cloud_api.js and daylight_packed.js both at daylightmap.com are the slow elements
I think I came across this a few weeks ago, and there are reports that the daylightmap.com servers are down and were down 4 weeks ago

That makes sense. The daylight map didn't even load, only the geographic map loads for me.

Yesterday and today the map loads in the browser extremely slowly. By that I mean more than a minute, which doesn't make for a convincing presentation. Has this been normal?
hi Eric & all,
the daylightmap times out, means the locusonus maps loads when the daylightmap at http://www.daylightmap.com/ runs into timeout. to me it seems the problem lies there. "The server at www.daylightmap.com is taking too long to respond."
