Sounds like you are doing some good outreach work there Kurt! Good on ya'!
The activities around Soundcamp, and sound walks and such are pretty powerful tools to pull the public in and give them a sense of excitement about what sound can be (as a creative medium)...
It's the art establishment that has been pretty slow in adopting anything 'new media' wise over the last 20+ years... But there are some good exceptions, thankfully!
