hi Milos, Peter & all,
there was the wolfson / cirrus logic board with stereo line in and
plugin, worked good with eg. primo capsules, or any other PIP / electret
condenser mic. discontinued, not available any more.
there is the IQ Audio http://iqaudio.co.uk/hats/100-pi-codec.html
where Grant, Gregoire, I and others have been sort of involved, at
least we've been providing ideas to IQAudio.
this board sounds good and works with the mentioned mics. but it's sort
of ... unbalanced ... and not intuitive to configure, though not
complicated. at the moment I'd say it's the best available.
then there is usb audio, means you can connect a usb mic, or recorder, or
soundcard, works most of the times, but is not stable (my experience)
for days or longer.
let me know if you need more info or help.
all above is valid for raspberry pi. there's also the option to use a
phone with USB device, host cable / adapter required.

I hope all is very well. The workshop is a great idea. I’d certainly like to join in.I’ve been thinking of setting up Raspberry pi streaming for a while and with time on my handsthis seems a good moment.Which of the R.pi versions available do you recommend? I probably wouldn't use it for anything but the streaming. All wishesStay wellPeterOn 9 Apr 2020, at 11:06, Grant Smith <grant_smith@mac.com> wrote:Hi allWe re going to run a 1 hour streaming workshop <https://paper.dropbox.com/doc/Reveil-Streaming-Workshop--AxqCt2s0yEGO3R9eDtxwEo~TAg-28Qfo0CKo86kYp1eRqvM5> this Saturday 11th at 14:00 UK time (UTC+1)The workshop will walk through streaming with a laptop using Broadcast Using This Tool, the Locus Sonus streambox software for Raspberry Pi or the free mobile app Locuscast. It will supplement these basic streaming recipes <http://soundtent.org/streaming_recipes.htm>.Anybody would be welcome to join in.We'll post a link to the platform at the workshop page in advance.Best wishesGranthttps://mailchi.mp/a19fe8f1ffe8/reveil2020 <https://mailchi.mp/a19fe8f1ffe8/reveil2020>https://soundcamp2020.eventbrite.co.uk <https://soundcamp2020.eventbrite.co.uk/>#acousticommons_______________________________________________Locustream / Locus Sonus Streaming Projecthttp://locusonus.org/To unsubscribe, send a message to locustream-request@nujus.net with unsubscribe in the subject or the messagehttp://nujus.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/locustream_______________________________________________pbcusack@gmail.com----------_______________________________________________Locustream / Locus Sonus Streaming Projecthttp://locusonus.org/To unsubscribe, send a message to locustream-request@nujus.net with unsubscribe in the subject or the messagehttp://nujus.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/locustream______________________________________________________________________________________________Locustream / Locus Sonus Streaming Projecthttp://locusonus.org/To unsubscribe, send a message to locustream-request@nujus.net with unsubscribe in the subject or the messagehttp://nujus.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/locustream______________________________________________________________________________________________
