Hi,
I've been streaming for about 1 month or so now and have tried different solutions. It also depends on how much gain you want from your mic's. I am using this now and I like it very much:
- Raspberry Pi Zero W (with the Locus image) - Behringer U-Phoria UM2 USB audio interface (mono, not expensive (€29) and good quality) - Rode VXLR+ fantoom adapter (transform the 48V phantom to approximately 7,5V, for supplying the Primo's) - Low-Noise Binaural Mics (Primo EM172)

I have been pretty lucky with USB Audio: I've been running a stream 24/7 since 2015 with the Locus Sonus streambox image and a Behringer UCA202 (USB with RCA line in/out, no mic preamps) with no stability problems. No config reqiuired.
that's interesting, and sounds like I should give it another try. the raspis route everything internally over USB, so it makes a difference if you use e.g. wifi or lan, or an usb-hub etc. how's your hardware config? udo _______________________________________________ Locustream / Locus Sonus Streaming Project http://locusonus.org/ To unsubscribe, send a message to locustream-request@nujus.net with unsubscribe in the subject or the message http://nujus.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/locustream _______________________________________________
