I'm happy to announce the birth of a new stream in Yunnan close to Lijiang in south west China where I am currently doing a residency.
Details are on the map but I did want to mention that we finally got rid of all ground noise by running a long wire from the stream box (fixed with one of the screws on the serial plug to a metal staircase outside which makes a very efficient ground (there is no earth on the mains electrical installation). We made wind protection using scouring pads and a small sieve covered with several layers of nylon socks which we then fixed under the eves of the building. The network drops occasionally as does the mains electrical but the sound is clean.
