the idea is that the pi utilizes any sort of internet access wherever it is, registers with my server and can be controlled from a little phone app or website. well, basically a remote start/stop streaming button...
btw, i've setup up a temp test
raspi battery powered and connected through a (not so reliable...) wifi, olympus ls5 with two primo em172 omni mics at the olympus' mic-in, the ls5 itself is connected via usb as a class audio device. have to say that the preamp of the ls5 is a bit damaged from experiments... it lacks a bit the low end... anyway...
http://radio.aporee.org:8000/live.m3u will leave it on for half an hour or so, 2pm berlin time.
bests, udo
great thanks, udo our experiments have been a little messier - but we'll get there very good to hear this has been trouble free and useful bw grant

hi there, received my raspberry pi today, installed a raspbian linux, openvpn and compiled darkice, connected a little wifi adaptor and plugged in an olympus ls5 in class audio mode. a first test was quite sucessful.
