it seems I also have the same problem with latest patch. PD will just freeze, sometimes very fast, sometimes, after some time.
Now i used it on powerbook G4 1 gig of RAM, OSX version 10.4.9.
I'm still looking for  a dedicated computer to stream non stop.
maybe it will work better. But even i don't do anything on my laptop at same time, still same problem.
