its my first post on this list, so maybe a few words of introduction: i
am a cologne(germany) based soundartist/
for a project i got involved with, i am looking for participants from
as many countrys / cultures as possible. eric encouraged me to post
this here:
the musiktriennale, a musicfestival here in cologne wants to do a
global soundscape project called: "sounds of my neighbourhood"
the focal point is a creation of stockhausens hymnen here, but for a
kind of an education project around it, the idea is to take soundscapes
from several countrys around the globe instead of national anthems. the
soundscapes will be presented in an interactive installation, which
will alow the visitors not only to listen to the individual projects in
a quadrophonic setup, but also to intermodulate the different
soundfiles via a touchscreen, creating individual trajectories around
the globe.
for this i am looking for volunteers all around the globe, who would be
willing to work with groups of younger people (15-25 of age) to create
a soundscape piece of the neighbourhood, they are living in.
i would be interested to get a certain cultural diversity surpassing
eurocentrism. attached is a short description of the project as pdf,
but if you have questions, please don´t hesitate...
would you know of somebody interestedin participating, maybe somebody,
who already works with the kind of targetgroup i am looking for?
any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
