I have one primo EM 172 capsule running for 4 or 5 years continuously outside, protected by nothing except a garbage piece of foam, without any problems, guess they get wet all the time...<
Maybe because they were phantom powered ? I got these strange phenomena ( high pitch oscillation, crackle, ... ) The dynamics sounds ok & are stable for a long time in weather & wind
For my other work(s) I use only pro condenser mic's ( Sennheiser MKH series ) ... a little times band or dynamic
