Hello,
I’ve left my streambox in Highgate Woods, North London. A lovely old piece of ancient woodland with a lot of birdsong, though now it’s quietened down for the night. The odd sound, a breeze in the trees and distant planes and traffic and trains.

This is a bit of an experiment to see if the stream will run reliably. I had big problems last Friday night / Saturday morning in a different location with the stream going totally offline after a few hours. And when it was online there was em interference and it seemed to dropout every 30 seconds or so. I think the cause was leaving it in an area of poor reception though my phone read two bars of 5G when I left it.
And there is a question: I assume that if there is 5G there is also 4G (which my SIM card receives). But maybe that’s a problem ? Tonight I left it in a location of 3 bars of 5G. It seems more stable but went offline about 30 minutes ago - ‘not found’ - and then came back again. At least it seems to be able to log itself back on. And sometimes the stream stops and I have to reload the url.
I’d be interested to know what anyone thinks in regards to where the problems lie. Is it a 5/4G discrepancy, local connectivity wavering, or even the server ?
Hopefully it will last the night, the sounds of dawn I imagine will be beautiful.
Thanks,
Jem
