Hi August

Yes - it will be great to hear from the Oakland stream again.

This might be a good time to talk about Pi's:

We have been working on Pi streaming and now have 2 stable and good approaches:

1.   Mono over ethernet using Raspberry Pi Version B, Icicle from Blue Microphones and XLR microphone.

2.   Stereo over wifi using Pi Version B, Edimax Wifi Adapter, Griffin iMic and stereo electret condenser microphones [mono would also work].

Both these approaches require minimal setup and are designed for long term trouble-free operation.

We can help with setup and/or send you a free pre-configured SD Card with everything you need on it.

Happy to discuss in more detail.

We are working towards an event and 24 hour broadcast over 3-4 MAY, so would very much like to reactivate old streams and get new ones going. More on this project in a recent article for The Field Reporter

Hiya,

Glad to see you back again in the loop
I'll have a look at the echothief project

It's good to be (soon) back in the loop.

I'm looking at this project here and wondering if I should just build a
simple raspberry pi on solar:

or
http://pi.qcontinuum.com/

Anyone here have success with something like that?

I still have the old box with the little mic capsule.
Would that mic also work on the raspberry pi's audio interface?  any
thoughts on the quality?
