Hey,
Well, in fact most of the time cars and motos are around but sometimes ocean waves as well, the box is just 100 meters to the shoreline. The best moments are definitely the birds and airplanes (there is a airport quite close).
The mic is the only thing outdoors the box and everything else is indoors. The window close 100% well with little room for the cable, so no problem ... Stereo stream should be next step definitely.
I have been listening other streams and is such a great acoustic experience.
Regards,

Thanks, Jerome, and hello, Andres.
Listening for 15 minutes...Your stream sounds like the familiar white noise of traffic in the foreground, though I wonder how much of that merges with, or actually is the ocean. I'll need to switch from laptop speakers to something better to discern. Perhaps someday there will be stereo streams to help us identify what we are listening to, now at about 7:30 a.m. your time, Andres.
How do you set up the streambox to shield it from rain? (I suppose snow and ice aren't an issue there.)
For my streambox, last winter I had to take it out of the window. It couldn't be closed all the way. That was problematic during the extreme weather conditions of our winters and summers in Chicago. I've been too busy to find a suitable location nearby. Hoping later this month might offer a chance for me to do this, finally.
All the best, Eric

Hello Locus Sounus,
The mic is close to a bus stop and right in front of a round about, cars, motorcycles and busses are the first sounds you can listen to. In the background there is the sound of pacific ocean waves and the wind. In the mornings and late afternoons birds fly around and this place is very close to an airport, therefore small airplanes are crossing the sound scape often.
Some weeks ago I got the streambox from Alejo. After some days testing box now is working 100%.

View from Elings Hall second floor towards the University of California Santa Barbara Gate. In the background the amazing Pacific Ocean.
Cheers
