Although this call for participation is indirectly related to the Locustream project it seems like an important project that some of you will be interested in. I'm forwarding the updated version which opens the project to more varied audio capture technique.

Dear colleagues,

Last week you received a call to participate in a collection of urban sonic environments to document the rare urban soundscapes induced by the containment measures currently being deployed in several countries.

We received a lot of emails from researchers, radio producers and artists interested in participating. We propose here an updated version of the project (online here) in order to include 1) different equipment and 2) different sampling effort. Think of clearing the cache of your browser to see the new version V2.

What changed?

Now three protocols with various sampling efforts are possible
The previous protocol was slightly modified (see the Gain for audible SM4 and Audiomoth)
Any equipment allowing you to follow the recording schedule of the protocols is now accepted
