re.zis.tãs is a monthly event at the Rhizome-Lijiang art center including various artistic disciplines
(performance, music, new media, exhibition, visual arts...)
re.zis.tãs is a hybrid frame work conjunction between: Residency: the presentation of the work artists have created while they are in residence at Rhizome // Resound: the launching of a dialogue between cultures with a special focus on the local culture in Lijiang // Re-enact: the will to highlight that a great variety of practices exist and that a large layout of artistic event happen in Lijiang, in short: to re-enact existence.
re.zis.tãs 是丽江‘藕’艺术中心的每月活动，包括不同的艺术科目（表演、音乐、新媒体、展览、视觉艺术 、等等）
re.zis.tãs 是连接混合的结构列如: 住处: 介绍住在‘藕’艺术中心的艺术家创造的艺术品。回响: 发动一个文化之间的对话而特关注丽江本地文化。再扮演: 想强调有多样性实践的存在也强调丽江有很多不同的艺术活动在发生, 简而言之: 想再扮演存在 。

Mu Xinrong was born in Shigu of Yunnan Province in 1970.
Mu was addicted to drawing as a child. He stopped school when he was young and worked on the farm. He worked for a furniture maker and then managed a teahouse in Kunming for his cousin .But he never gave up his love of drawing. Since 1996, Mu found his vocation as a sculptor. In 2006 , he opened his studio called “Lao Mu “ in a small courtyard in Lijiang old town. And at the end of 2010, he found a new studio for his grand projects in an abandoned cement plant.
All his works are full of spiritual ideas representing the animist beliefs of the Naxi traditional religion. The Naxi people, whether at work or play, come to life in his sculptural work which exude qualities of primitive simplicity and authenticity. Mu uses his chisel to reveal its essential nature and explore the meaning of life. His early sculptures were aimed at telling people a history of place and a story carved in wood, representing the ways that ancient people recorded their lives. Now his later works just simply lead us to the qualities of the wood itself. He collects unusual pieces of wood, and with minimalist approach he can evoke the spiritual nature of his art. Just like his motto: Learn from heart, learn from nature.
2010.9.30-2012.10.7 , His first expo which exhibited around 150 works during his first 10 years was held by the Naxi Culture Centre and Intangible Cultural Heritage Center of LiJiang City.
木欣荣，1970年生，云南丽江石鼓人。自幼痴迷绘画，年少辍学在家。一边务农，一边陶醉于绘画之中。在木器厂打过工，在昆明帮堂哥管理过茶馆。1999年至今正式雕刻创作，并以此为生。2006年，在古城一小院设立“老木工作室”。2009年年底自今，租用废弃20余年的水泥厂机车房作为新工作室。
纳西族古老文化的传承与自幼山林间玩耍劳作的经历，使他的作品充满了生命图腾的灵性。师我心，师造化。作品风格古朴粗犷，天真放达。以刀锋行走雕刻心灵。研究生命。作品多以木为创作材料。
早年木雕作品有如结绳记事的风格。木雕背后总有一段故事。后期木雕常常根据收集到的树的大型枝干本身的造型，所做人为雕琢极少。表现题材通常为“自然之灵”。
2010年9月30日——10月7日 丽江市文化馆，丽江市非物质文化遗产中心联合为他主办了首次个人展览。展出作品为十年雕刻的150余件收藏木雕作品。

Lasha City in Tibet , in the dawn and twilight
“It is the second day here, I take photos of people pass though the Danji Road, all the things become more and more interesting. The women with their kids, the men riding bicycles, the prayers, the foreigners with blond hair and white skin, coming and going ...... This is the beginning of a day.”
“Also I take photos of the religious Buddhist in the Jokhang Temple at sunset. The olds , children , men ,women...... Everything is moving and seems too fast to losting their specific image. All lefts are the conversation of light and shadow, at that moment what is the like of faces is not important any more. In this beautiful twilight, every same movement repeats again and again, sketch the most beautiful picture in the world.”
A Jun came from Chengdu.
Mu Xinrong and A Jun are husband and wife.
这是我在拉萨的第二天。
拍摄了丹吉林路口晨光中的路人。越看越有趣。来来往往的人，形形色色的人。
牵小孩的人，骑单车的人，转经的人，黄头发白皮肤的人，送饭的人......
这是人们一天生活的开始。
还拍摄了大昭寺跟前暮光中虔诚的佛教信徒。
老人，孩子，男人，女人...... 越看越感动。依旧是与光影对话,面孔已不重要.
辉煌的落日之下,他们一次又一次重复着相同的动作,在天地之间划出最美的剪影!
