Dear Jerome and Alejo,

Can my streambox be set up to operate on wirelessly?

If not this is what I'm needing help with...

In order to keep the winter cold air out of our house, for the past few weeks I have been streaming with a piezo disc pickup attached to the interior side of a window. Since it is a "thermal window" made with two panes separated by an air space, the energy of exterior sounds are dissipated, and the piezo doesn't pick up very much of the exterior soundscape.

To remedy this, I would like connect the small TRS condenser mic, the one you provided for my streambox Jerome, to an FM transmitter placed outside the house. Then, I would connect the FM receiver's audio output to the Locustreambox, and stay warm inside (and also reduce the heating bill). I have the transmitter, a hacked iTrip (part of a project called eXiTrip) that transmits about 20 feet. But, to connect the mic to the input, I need to know, what are the tip and ring be connected?

I assume S=ground, T=signal (+), and R=?.

I have the iTrip transmitter running on two AA batteries, 3 volts DC. Would that supply enough power to the mic without a preamp?

Thanks!

Eric
