I live in a small city and have worked really hard to get into the public eye with sound art. I put together an exhibit with a local sculptor to combine the two art forms, and I do live scorings of silent films with the local art house theatre etc. So, basically I'm benefiting off of a relationship developed from previous efforts. Haha
I did reference the connection it would give them to Locus Sonus and events like Soundcamp. Showing them that they can be a part of a growing community helps, I think.

Any tips in getting past the first line of defence and access to a director? Trigger words? [image: Smile]

Well,
The director loves the idea and I'm working on an official proposal to submit so we'll see.
