Hi:
I was recently told that the neighbors have become uncomfortable with my
microphone setup back at the North Carolina house, which hasn't been
online in a few months due to technical issues that I can't fix from
here. It's a bit of a large setup -- a pair of cardioid microphones in a
rough ORTF pattern connected to a Behringer UMC-202. They have withstood
the elements for over 11 years, and I like the stereo image that pattern
provides. I've never been too much of a fan of spaced omni pairs without
some sort of baffle between them, though I'm sure I could probably get a
better SNR with some small condensers.
So, my question is, what are you guys doing for stealth setups with good
stereo imaging, low noise, good SNR and protection from wind and rain?
Keep in mind I'm not so good with hardware and will probably need
someone to design/build stuff if required. I'd like to get this thing
back online again.
